How do I store my soap?

• My soaps are handmade and don't contain artificial hardener or preservatives. Because if this, it's important to know how to store them properly.
• Before use - before you're ready to use your soap, store it in a cool, dry place away from moisture.
• Between uses - If you're using it as a hand soap, ensure you use a soap dish that has drainage so your soap bar isn't sitting in a puddle of water. The drier your bar stays between uses, the longer it lasts. Constant contact with water will cause your bar to soften. If you're using it as a body soap, ideally it's best to keep it outside of the shower away from excess moisture. If you need to keep your soap in the shower, a sisal soap bag hanging in the shower is best, to avoid soap sitting in water.

How do I store/use other items?

• Bath salts and foot soaks should be stored in a cool dry place. Make sure to reseal the bag thoroughly to keep moisture out.
• Bath Bombs and Shower Steamers must be kept away from moisture prior to use. Moisture will activate them and they will begin to fizz
• Skin products must also be kept in a cool dry place. They do not contain any artificial preservatives so it's important your hands are clean and dry before using them.

What Collection/Shipping options are available?

There are various options available to suit all needs.

• Collection - you can collect your order in person if you wish. All orders must be collected from Rush, Co. Dublin and collection times must be arranged in advance (Choose this option at checkout).
• Local Delivery - Deliveries in Rush, Co. Dublin are free on orders over €75. Orders under €75 are €3 delivery.
• Local deliveries to Lusk and Skerries are free on orders over €75. Orders under €75 are €4 with a minimum order amount of €20 excluding delivery (Choose this option at checkout). 
• Shipping - all orders are shipped with An Post, my P&P costs are calculated using An Post rates plus packaging. See my shipping policy here for more information.

Do you have a physical store?

No, I don't have a brick and mortar store. I do however sell at various markets and craft fairs. By signing up to my newsletter you'll receive information about the where and when. You will also see a banner on the top of the website the week of a particular market.

Are your products certified Vegan?

All of my products are cruelty free - none of the ingredients or finished products have been tested animals at any point in the production process, and never will be!

However, some products contain beeswax, honey and/or goat milk, therefore they are not all vegan. Ingredients are listed in each product listing, but if you are unsure and have questions please don't hesitate to contact me at info@roseosoap.com

How long are the products usable for?

Generally speaking most products are good for 6 months after opening.

On each product you will see a little open jar symbol. This is the 'Period After Opening' symbol. There will be a number in this jar which tells you how many months after opening the product will be fresh.

Is your packaging Eco friendly?

Yes! I avoid plastics as much as possible. Nearly all of my packaging is made from paper products which are widely recycled.

I do try to keep packaging to a minimum, but there are certain types of packaging required for certain products. 

I endeavor to always work hard at keeping my carbon footprint low.

Empties - The tins from lip balms and salves can be returned to be thoroughly cleaned and reused.

How do I know your products are safe?

All products have been independently tested and assessed for safety by a reputable company before being brought to market.

Ingredients are listed for each product, so please do check before you purchase if you have any allergies!

Products are made in small batches to ensure a high quality is maintained at all times.

Can I place an order as a gift?

Of course! If you wish to purchase as a gift, please leave a note at checkout. 

Tell me where the order is to be sent to, if you want the invoice removed (I can send it to you by email instead of adding it to the order), and even if you want a personalised message added to the order.

How do I read ingredient labels?

Under EU law, all ingredients have to be listed under their INCI names (International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient) which is internationally recognised.

This can be confusing as ingredients aren't always recognisable when written in their INCI names. For example, Coconut Oil will appear on the label as Sodium Cocoate, Epsom Salts as Magnesium Sulfate, Water as Aqua etc.
